The Department of International Cooperation and Sustainable Development focuses on promoting international collaboration in research and innovation, with an emphasis on supporting sustainable projects. Our goal is to facilitate partnerships and collaboration between research institutions, universities, and other entities in the Republic of Moldova and worldwide.
The Department’s mission is to strengthen international partnerships and promote cooperation between research institutions in Moldova and abroad for the development of innovative and sustainable projects. We aim to enhance Moldova’s position in the international research and innovation landscape by facilitating the exchange of knowledge and expertise between national and international entities, thus contributing to sustainable development and increasing the country’s scientific and technological competitiveness.
Strategic Objectives:
- Monitor and evaluate Moldova’s participation in international research and innovation programs, providing insights and analyses for national policies in this area.
- Facilitate access to international funding for research and innovation projects through various European initiatives.
- Organize informational, training, and networking events for researchers and professionals, focusing on promoting open science and participation in European programs.
- Support ANCD staff and the scientific community in participating in international training and events in research and innovation.
- Identify and explore new opportunities for bilateral collaboration in research and innovation, fostering partnerships between national and international entities.
- Collaborate with similar authorities from other countries to implement research and innovation policies, promoting international cooperation.
- Transfer experience from other European countries and the Eastern Partnership region in research management.
- Strengthen institutional and professional capacities to support effective participation in European research and innovation programs.
- Implement commitments under the Horizon Europe Program and align national policies with European standards.
- Promote sustainable development principles across all activities to achieve sustainable development goals.
Short-Term Objectives:
- Develop a comprehensive database of stakeholders in research and innovation to facilitate collaboration and engage them in the department’s projects and initiatives, promoting connections between the organization and the participatory community.
- Organize annual competitions for funding research and innovation projects to stimulate and support high-quality research in Moldova.
- Promote and organize informational and consultation sessions with the research and innovation community in the country to encourage participation and contribution to the department’s initiatives.
- Initiate networking actions and form partnerships with similar institutions from other countries to promote the exchange of experience and best practices in research and innovation.
- Develop and implement an effective communication and promotion plan to raise awareness and engage the research and innovation community in the department’s initiatives and programs.
Medium- and Long-Term Objectives:
- Increase public awareness of available funding opportunities and open competitions in research and innovation through informational and promotional campaigns across various communication channels, including our official website, social media pages, and through our academic and business partners.
- Establish an efficient dialogue mechanism between target groups and relevant institutions by organizing regular consultations and meetings with representatives of these groups to identify their needs and priorities and develop appropriate solutions and projects.
- Increase the visibility of the ANCD’s Department of International Cooperation’s actions in academia, business, and other relevant sectors by actively participating in international events and conferences, collaborating with relevant organizations, and using existing communication networks to promote our initiatives.
- Facilitate bilateral and multilateral collaborations with relevant international institutions, agencies, and organizations by identifying and contacting potential partners, organizing meetings and thematic seminars, and promoting collaboration opportunities through our communication channels.
- Promote and facilitate collaboration between ANCD and international companies through networking meetings and events, promoting collaboration opportunities, and facilitating access to relevant resources and expertise.
- Regularly monitor and report progress for established collaborations, ensuring transparent communication of the results to the interested community through reports and public presentations.
- Ensure dynamic and effective communication with ANCD partners and the general public through existing communication channels, including our website, social media pages, and periodic newsletters.
