On September 20, 2023, in the Senate hall of the Academy of Economic Studies of Moldova, the meeting with the generic name "Constructive dialogue with researchers and staff of ASEM. Increasing the capacity of the Moldavian researchers and research institutions - problems and opportunities". This meeting emphasizes the imperative of a dynamic collaboration between academic institutions and European support and funding mechanisms.

The opening of the event was marked by the speeches given by Alexandru STRATAN, Ph.D., university professor, corresponding member of AȘM, Rector of ASEM; Vаdim IАȚCHЕVICI, Acting General Director of the National Agency for Research and Development (АNCD) and Vitalie MORARU, Head of the National Office "Horizon Europe". During the speeches, the importance of mutually beneficial collaboration was emphasized, which combines local academic aspirations with the opportunities offered by the European Union in the field of research.

Key topics such as the potential and opportunities of national research in the European context were addressed, the previous experience of participating in European projects and the possibilities offered by the "Horizon Europe" Program were discussed. The thematic coordinators on the three pillars of the Program, Ms. Elena RAILEAN (Pillar I), Mr. Serghei SPRÎNCEAN (Pillar II) and Mr. Oxаnа PALADICIUC (Pillar III), made valuable contributions, presenting the key aspects and particularities of the calls launched, as well as the advantages of participation in the Program.

In the round table discussion "What do we know about Horizon Europe from the perspective of previous experience?" a constructive dialogue took place between the administration of ASEM and ANCD about the opportunities offered by the "Europe Horizon" Program for the Moldovan research community.

In the final segment of the meeting, the strategies for strengthening the capacities of Moldovan researchers and optimizing the research infrastructure were discussed in depth, a particular emphasis was placed on the significance of the continuous and prodigious collaboration from ASEM and the National Office "Horizon Europe".

An event of this caliber creates a robust framework for the exchange of expertise and good practices, with the primary objective of amplifying the scientific potential of the Republic of Moldova in the European arena.
